What a crazy age

My son, JR, (I should clarify that for the regulars, like Mr. Ewing, not junior) will be 12 in a month and a half. He has some pretty eclectic tastes for an almost 12 year old. Tonight, as I was posting, he was in the den watching TV. I could hear the History Channel---they had a documentary on the Spartan 300 who battled to the death. They had experts talking about the strategy, and all the characters, like Leonidus. Next thing I know, I hear SpongeBob's voice. A little later he switched back to the documentary.

He's a chip off the old block; however, I would have switched over only if it was Jimmy Neutron.

when my boy was 8, he used to flip between cartoon network and c-span.

good grief. I'm 50, and I can honestly say that I've never watched 1 minute of C-SPAN. They must have some kind of subliminal messaging going on to have an 8 year old watch.
