I've heard of stealing hotel bath towels, but this is ridiculous

May 30: An official said on Wednesday a 176-pound glittering bathtub made of gold, worth 120 million yen, or $987,000, was stolen from a bathroom on the 10th floor in the Kominato Hotel Mikazuki near Tokyo. The tub is shown during a press preview in this June 2005 picture in Tokyo. The round tub is 4 feet in diameter and 2 feet tall and is made of 18-karat gold.

A one million dollar bathtub, what kind of demented mind would come up with something like this. I wonder if Donald Trump had anything to do with it.

Any Bloom County fans. (the greatest comic strip ever written in my estimation) Do you remember the episodes when Bill the Cat had Donald Trump's brain implanted. He had a solid gold litter box made. I can't remember what he called it---The Trump Dump, or something like that.

If I ever decide to purchase a $1 million, solid gold bathtub, I think I'd put it outside and use it as a planter.

That is an interesting tidbit! Hey, I have a new blog - "I'm Free Now"

Given that gold is a really good thermal conductor, especially when alloyed with copper for 18 carat varieties, I dare suggest that a bath in that tub would have been a somewhat uncomfortable experience.

Besides that, you'd have to be the size of a munchkin, or a Japanese, to even fit in the thing. I like to get those legs stretched out; when I do ever take a bath that is. I'd be more for a gold shower. (no jokes, you know what I mean)

It WAS the Trump Dump. That's one of my favorite strips!
