mmmm, what a lovely perfume; is that Eau de Sow Urine

While we were in the clinic waiting room yesterday, an elderly woman came in and struck up a little conversation with Mocha-momma. At one point she said something to the effect of, 'there certainly is a strong antiseptic smell in the air, do you notice it?' MM didn't notice anything; but she did wonder if it could have been her fragrance, which is Clinique. She had the woman smell her hands, and voila, her Clinique hand lotion turned out to be the culprit. MM loves that fragrance, and that's a standard gift we get her on Mother's Day, or her birthday, etc. Nice to know your favorite scent reminds people of a medical clinic.

This woman went on to tell us that she has a very sensitive nose, and can distinguish alot of smells. She also told us that all perfumes use sow urine in their creation. That was an interesting bit of trivia. Well, I just went out on google and wikipidea, looking to find out if sow urine was really used in perfumes. Wikipedia had about 30 pages of information on perfume, and I did not find one reference to sow urine.

What I did track down was this: Hog In Heat Sow Urine: When you're hog hunting, why not bring with you the best hog scent you can use? Harmon's Hog In Heat is 100% sow urine. It is not watered down.

I wonder----Gino, if you do go out to Georgia and do some hog hunting, bring along some of Elizabeth Taylor's perfume and do some testing. See if those hogs will react to perfume as much as they would to 100% sow urine.

I wonder if MM would consider changing over to Hog in Heat, it certainly is alot cheaper than the Clinique.
