Tiger Kills Six-Year-Old Girl at Chinese Zoo (FoxNews)
A six-year-old girl was bitten to death by a tiger at a south China zoo while posing for a picture with the animal, state media reported Friday.
The girl, identified only as Ruixin, was standing behind the tiger with her mother and four other relatives when it attacked at a zoo in Yunnan province on Thursday, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
I'm not quite sure how many times these types of tragedy have to occur before numbskulled animal trainers get it through their heads that this kind of horrific thing can happen. For crying out loud, I wouldn't let my kids pose next to a supposedly tame squirrel, let alone a flippin tiger. Here goes another notch on the tiger's scorecard on the AKJ list. If it happens in the wild, that's a tragedy; when it happens in a zoo and a supposedly controlled situation, that's a travesty.
