Regarding the just turned 50 physical I had on Monday.
Like I said previous, the prostate is fine. Yeaaaaah.
Tuesday, I get a message from the doctor's office saying I need to get back in and see him asap. So I went back in today.
I have diabetes, the sugar levels are off the chart, and I got started on insulin right then and there. Evidently we're talking some very serious damage could have happened if it went on much longer. I was pleasantly surprised that the injections into the stomach were not as bad as I thought it would be. Pricking my finger to do the blood test was worse.
I also have hyper-thryroid, so I got a pill for that; and the cholesterol is high, got a pill for that.
You know those scenes in movies where someone is driving like a maniac, then when they stop and jump out the car immediately blows apart and the tires and fenders and doors all fall off; that's about what I feel like right now.
I still thank God that it was caught when it was, I'll get things under control, and I'll get healthier than I've been in a very long time. There are so many people facing much worse; like the friend of Mercy down in FL who just got the "you have just a few more months to live" message from his doctor. I have to give up my coke and eat a little differently, I can live with that and praise God doing it.

now remember: go back for a prostate check every year.
any more than that, and yer enjoying too much.
Good thing to catch it now than when the Doc's explaining it to your widow.
I'm so thankful that you caught it now.
Time for supernatural healing! I will fast and pray for you when I next fast.
And, being more serious than that...I am so sorry, and hope, seriously, for supernatural intervention.
Gino: what about home exams, Mocha-momma has really small fingers, maybe she would; naaah, I don't think I'll go there.
Lord, I apologize for that bad joke, that's Larry the cable guy humor.
KD, it sounds like you were pretty lucky to catch these problems when you did. Hopefully, managing them will be nice and uneventful.
