Scotty, beam me up. Earth's atmosphere has definitely addled my brain; at least my fashion senses.

Dolce & Gabbana out of this world with space glamour (Yahoo News)

MILAN (Reuters) - Milan's fashion designers, having put up the for sale signs on winter collections, launched their ideas on Sunday for what men should be wearing next autumn -- and Dolce & Gabbana said it would be space-age glitter.

I'm trying to envision Mocha-momma's reaction if she ever saw me wearing this type of outfit. OK, she's laughing hysterically.............still laughing..........a few snorts..........still laughing.

I'm envisioning some others in this type of outfit: Uncle Ben, Night Writer, Surly Dave. OK, I'm laughing........still laughing.......a few snorts.........still laughing.

We'll have to have our fashion maven---Mall Diva---give us her take on this as a fashion statement for men.

I think I'll stick with the fashion trends coming out of Cabelas vs the fashion industry from Milan. I'd rather walk around looking like a duck hunter than a movie extra from Galaxy Quest.

Hey, what does this say if I thought they looked rather spiffy?

Oh yeah, I bet I'd look great in tight leather pants! Hopefully I'll be too poor to afford them.

I'd look like a baked potato in one of these shiny outfits. You can't be too surprised by the fashion, though: once the left found out how comfortable their tin foil hats were it didn't take them long to go all the way.

Kingdavid, didn't you know?

The whole reason for these types of fashion shows is to show off how "fashion-forward" these brilliant people are while providing entertainment and amusement for us (relatively) normal folk.

Really, though, I can't help but feel that they are rather presumptuous, trotting their "genius" and expecting the world to buy it. Though you can keep your eyes peeled for people sporting versions of it come fall, I'm sure.

Didn't Michael Jackson do this like 20 years ago. I know the one glove thing (hey, did he wear wrist sweaters?) caught on for a while. His space suits never did catch on, although his were in red and other primary colors; maybe the silver glittery stuff will catch on. I may get one and start a trend in Rockford; I bet within a month all the men in Rockford will be wearing them. The Pub & Grub will be packed with kingdavid look-alikes.

Oh, I'd pay money to see that. (not much mind you)
