Movie Review: A Night at the Museum

It's not a laugh a minute riot of a film; but it was very cute and we all enjoyed it a great deal. I'm not a big Ben Stiller fan, but he was just fine. Mickey Rooney was pretty funny, considering he's dead. (he is dead isn't he, maybe he's not dead yet; man, I thought he was dead) It wasn't what I had envisioned, and it actually had more of a story line than I anticipated from the trailers. Overall, we had 4 thumbs up from our family.

Humn, I didn't know if I should go see this one but I guess I will now.

That's the best job of acting of any dead person I've seen. They should have an award category for dead actors. Too funny! I saw the movie with a 56 year old autistic lady who has an obsession with dinosaurs.

I love Ben Stiller, esp. in There's Something About Mary.

That was one of parts we liked the most; Rex playing fetch.

I was in shock when I saw Micky Rooney in this movie. I suppose I shouldn't be. Elizabeth Taylor is still around right; I know they acted together as child stars in a number of movies.

I also got a kick out of the scene where he's at the employment office, you know the woman in that scene is his real life mother: Anne Meara. His father is Jerry Stiller, who played George Castanza's dad in Seinfeld. I remember as a kid seeing the comedy act of Stiller and Meara on variety shows all the time.

Thanks for that bit of trivia. I definitely recognized his mother (one of the benefits of being older) from some past TV or movie thing, but didn't know who she was. Hey, are you also at your computer right now? Let's chat.

Hey, about Sat. night. I am working (can't get out of it) but plan to try to stop by for a minute at around 6, say hi and return to work. Will I find you?
