Virginia Teacher Suspended for Painting With Butt
RICHMOND, Va. — A Virginia school district has suspended an art teacher who they say may be setting a bad example for students with his own extracurricular activity — butt painting.
Stephen Murmer, a self-described "butt-printing artist," was placed on administrative leave Friday by the Chesterfield County school district.
Going by the name Stan Murmur, the teacher sells floral and abstract paintings created by plastering his rump and genitals in paint and pressing them against a canvas. His paintings sell online for upwards of $900.
Chesterfield County schools spokeswoman Debra Marlow says school system regulations state that teachers must set an example for students through their personal conduct.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia says the suspension goes against Murmer's First Amendment rights.
How far can an employer go in restricting the outside activities of it's employees? The guy wasn't breaking any laws. He is simply cashing in on the idiocy of liberal art lovers. Could this school district turn around and suspend an employee who was involved in ministry, or selling bibles, or protesting abortions; I don't know, I suppose it could happen.
It's another interesting circumstance that makes us all shake our heads and offer up an opinion. I'd love to sit and add more; but I'm heading over to Michael's Craft Store and pick up some paint and canvas. I also need to come up with a psuedonym.

You're going to want to make sure that the paint you choose isn't flammable, or when you go to prepare yourself a hot treat on your car seat cooker after a hard day of creating unique art you may end up with a flambe.
I am slapping my head, saying,"I could've done THAT for a living! Why didn't I think of it? $900.00!!!"
king or david: I also got that e-mail about strokes, so when I said "your" story I just meant it was your idea to print it
I'm wracking my brains trying to think up some goofy art style that I could pawn off, I mean market, to the idiots, I mean, art lovers of the world.
I recently got some cute little golf ball dog. Maybe I'll start creating golf ball art. Sell the little creations for a couple hundred a pop.
