These can be used as a substitute for Porta-Potties when you're outdoors?
These need to be chopped down and removed so that strip malls and parking lots can be built?
If you're out squirrel hunting, you'll be shooting up into these?
I saw one of these on a truck coming in to work this morning. The truck was from a landscaping service, so I understand the sentiment. I like trees as much as the next guy, but maybe not quite as much as a tree-hugger. They're just another resource that needs to be managed; and if that means cutting them down in large numbers to use for mankind's benefit or to help stimulate new growth---off with their heads. Just like animals, minerals and other natural resources, leftists and their extremist positions tend to go way overboard in trying to control their use, while the rest of the sane people in the world realize the need for proper management and stewardship in using these God-given resources that benefit us.

Before you talk about "stewardship" and wise use of "God-given" resources, try reading Strangely Like War: the Assault on the World's Forests.
If you care to check, you might find it's more like spitting in God's face by destroying his majestic creation in the most wasteful manner possible, often for trivial reasons such as laziness or refusal to consider viable (and often cheaper) alternatives.
I take your point Sand Cat; and I'm not disputing the fact that there are extremists on the opposite end of the equation who only think profit and stewardship means very little to them. I may read this book; then I'll probably hear about some other book that totally debunks the thesis of this book; just like global warming; and in the end I won't be quite sure who to believe. In the end, since I'm not called by God to save the worlds forests, I'm going to do my part to conserve, I'm going to rely on people who have a heart and passion to protect and be stewards of the forests, and I'm going to put my faith in God that He's got the world in his hands.
My main thought was not about the rape of worlds forests; it was about environmentalists who bring law suits that prohibit loggers going in to areas that need thinning and clearing out, some type of action, to prevent catastrophes like uncontrolable fires---such as what happened in Northern MN this past summer (among other examples in CA and CO)
Trees are giant weeds. They fill themselves with their own waste products to create trunks to lift themselve above all the other plants.
They're giant crap-filled bullies of the plant world.
I think I shall never see a thing as lovely as a tree. You know that one should be able to worship a tree as he pleases in our free country.
