I'm gonna convert to be a Jedi Knight, it just seems to fit for me.

New representative Ellison does double duty
As Keith Ellison heads into his first term in Congress, he faces a balancing act between his duty to constituents and the inevitable pressure his new prominence creates to be a spokesman for all American Muslims.

Ellison converted to Islam from Catholicism while at Wayne State University in his native Detroit. Although he's been asked several times to explain why, he said, "I really don't know. Something about it just fit for me."

Well, I'm glad he put such great thought and contemplation into such a life-changing decision. What a great role model and spokesman he'll be for all of America's Muslims. Hopefully he'll display a little more thoughfulness and wisdom in serving his district than he did in choosing a worldview. My guess is there was some hot chick who was in the Muslim Club at Wayne State.

Segue: I was born in Wayne County Hospital. My dad always tells the story of when I was born he kept seeing a guy in the waiting room who was there for like 24 straight hours. My dad was in and out, and finally he said to the guy, why don't you go home and get refreshed; the guy responded, " I live right across the street." Now that's dedication and commitment to a cause.
