1967 - The Beatles release their landmark Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album in the USA, a day after it is released in the UK.
I was 10 years old. My older brother was a huge Beatles fan, and he had all their 45's and albums. How many of you remember 45's? I remember having to put those little plastic spindle adaptors into the hole so you could play them on the record player. (I just googled and learned they were called spindle adaptors; I was going to call it the little round plastic circular thingy, but I didn't want to fill your heads with technical lingo)
I loved the Beatles, still do. I can't think of any of their songs that I didn't like; especially their early stuff. I went to see Yellow Submarine in the theater for my 9th birthday. As I got older, and looked back on alot of the stuff they did and said when they were popular, I didn't agree with some of it; but, that didn't take away from any of the fun I had listening to them and watching their movies as a kid.

Grew up in a conservative Lutheran pastor's home as a kid and the Beatles were considered bad. My oldest brother nevertheless bought 45s of the Beatles (with the round thingys)and we danced to the wonderful music when my parents were gone.
