Braveheart kilt to go under the hammer
The famous kilt worn by Mel Gibson in the movie Braveheart is set to fetch thousands when it goes under the hammer next month.
The outfit which comes complete with armour vest, suede boots, a sword and a scabbard, was worn by the actor in battle scenes in the blockbuster film about legendary Scots hero William Wallace.
I'd try and buy it, but we just don't go to that many formal occasions. I'm afraid it would just sit in my closet.
I like the idea though. I'm ending my reign as cubmaster this month. I might put my scout uniform up on the auction block. Anybody interested in purchasing my historical garment, just let me know.

I know. I'm sure you have the thousands for that, just like I do.

Does that lightning bolt merit badge insignia on your Scout gear have the same meaning as it would on Mel's kilt?
