Kingdavid: haiku master

Uncle Ben has intrigued me with his use of haiku in many of his posts. I've also noticed that Night Writer is a lover of haiku, particularly when it comes to Spam. So I did some very minor research to see what the basic rules are. I checked out a couple of sites, and basically I'm just going to go with some rules set forth at How to Write a Haiku. Right now I'm only going to follow the 5-7-5 rule and try my hand at some as well.

Squirrels perform a dance
Another car is totaled
Death to jihadists

Ok, I'm gonna work on it.

rodent warriors, vengenge sought

Oak leaves fall, but roads now safe.

That first line works ... if you pronounce squirrels as "skwirls", that is.

And I think Surly's is more snafu than haiku (it's 5-7-5, man, not 7-5-7).

How about this:

Fuzzy nut-grabbers,
They ought to be arrested
Die, you tree-rats, die!

Bonus points for the first line - five syllables and one double-entendre!
