What is the deal. The current temp in southern Texas, Mission to be precise, is showing as 31 degrees F. We're going to be there in three weeks, as well as getting over to South Padre Island for a couple of days. I'm not going to be running around in a speedo with the temperature at 31. (I wouldn't run around in a speedo if it was 115, but I was going for humor there)
It's been in the upper 80's for the last week or so I've been checking. This better just be some little blip on the radar screen. We have 19 more days till we fly down.
The next three weeks is spring break season down at Padre. We've gone down to TX 2 times now in March, and each time we've been fortunate to have gotten there the week after the spring breaks; it will be the same this year. We always get to hear the horror stories about kid's o.d.ing or dying in DWI's after the fact. We've gone down a couple of times in the summer as well, and I don't know what's worse, 2 straight weeks below 0 or 2 straight weeks over 100.
The reason we go to south Texas so much is because Mocha-momma's parents are now permanent residents in Mission TX. In the past we've always driven down and spent two weeks exploring different cities and attractions that TX has to offer. This year we're just taking one week and flying into Harlingen TX and renting a car.

Really. Two straight weeks over 100 - not fun. I sincerely hope you get speedo friendly weather.
