I see that the Star Tribune's letter of the day, to the editor, was from a guy who simply wrote:
December 7, 1941; March 19, 2003. Days that will live in infamy.
Heck, I had to go look up what happened on March 19, 2003. That was the day President Bush announced the war against Iraq.

I'm not sure that apart from some rabid, liberal nutcases, very many people would be able to identify what happened on this date. I'm not even sure that the vast majority of Americans who were born after 1970 could identify the significance of December 7.
