They call it bowling; because golf and sh*t were already taken

It's hard to believe that bowling can be as frustrating as golf, at least for us hackers; but when you don't do something consistently, then inconsistency becomes the name of the game. I've been substituting every other week on a bowling team that a good friend is on. We bowl on Thursday nights, and last night was my turn.

So, I've bowled about 6 times over the last few months. Right now my average is at 142. Last night I started with a 152, then I bowled a 181 with 1 open frame (I kept telling them not to wake me up)---last game, I'm all excited and pumped up, on a roll you know---I shoot a 127 and had about 5 frames with splits.

The good news was that I won two of the head-to-head matches and tied one.

I hope to at least break 200 one time before I die. I bowled a 197 in high school, and that's the closest I got. I don't take it too seriously and have fun getting together with the guys. The only drawback to the evening is having to endure the smoke filled atmosphere.
