Daylight Savings Time change business impact – Due to Federal regulation with the Energy Policy Act, Daylight Savings Time (DST) has been extended. In 2007, DST will begin on Sunday, March 11, and end on November 4, in almost all of the United States and Canada.
This came through our company e-mail. Our IT people will take care of all our stuff here. I wonder about personal technology that is already programmed to make the adjustments automatically--lap tops, clocks, cell phones, etc. What a pain in the derriere that's going to be.

All this to save, according to the most optimistic estimates, about 1% on electricity. That's about $10 for my whole family.

Hey, if they're moving up the start of DST then it's especially bad news for the Reverend Mother. She loathes losing the hour of sleep in the spring; this change would mean she'd be ripped off sooner than before AND have to wait longer to get the hour back in the Fall (and no interest on the "loan" either)!
