Mocha-momma and I are going to become ballroom dance instructors. Our church put on a belated Valentines event tonight which included dance lessons from professional instructors. At the end they gave out some awards, and the instructor named MM and I the winners of the Best Dancers Award.
OK, so there were only 6 couples that took part in the instruction, it was still quite an honor. I guess I would compare it to being the best hitter on a baseball team and having a .200 average.
The very first X-mas present I gave MM was a 3 lesson package to Arthur Murray Dance Studios, along with a double cd of Nat King Cole's Greatest Hits. Unfortunately, other than doing some dancing at one wedding, we haven't danced since then. We have however listened to Nat quite a few times.

Ballroom instructors? Wow, I wish I could be there to learn. I've always wanted to do it since it's so dramatic, at least from the movies. It's like you make sudden dramatic moves, sooooo coool. Maybe you should post a vid of instructions for those of us who can't be there:o)
I assure you we were not burning up the floor. The fact that we moved in the box step without any major podiatric injuries was our prize! Our next goal will be to do the box step and chew gum at the same time.
