Obama, 45, does not fit the familiar mode of King's generation of black leaders. He is biracial - his white mother was from Kansas, his father Kenyan - and was educated at Ivy League universities.

I'm not planning on voting for the guy either, differing reasons of course; which include his worldview and stance on the issues. Blacks, essentially liberal blacks, just can't get past the issue of race in every decision they make.
