The Ugly, the Ugly and the Ugly

The Razzies: worst movies of 2006

Talk about shooting ducks on a pond.

I'm not a great film aficianado; but I do enjoy and appreciate a good movie, especially a good family film or comedies. Generally I don't go for big drama. I'd rather read a good book than see a dramatic movie. Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general are just like any other industry; there's the good, the bad and the ugly that can be identified in all of them.

The one thing I do despise about the entertainment industry is their penchant for award programs. Just how many opportunities a year do these people need for self-validation of the work they're doing. Golden Globes, SAG Awards, the Oscars, People's Choice Awards, MTV Awards, Tony's and Grammies and Obies- oh my; yada-yada-yada. It's pathetic.

I'm waiting for the year when all production is stopped because performers are going to award shows every night of the year. Which wouldn't be all that bad in a general sense. They should just combine a few of them and make a big ceremony once a year and leave it at that. The only group of people that would be hurt in the long run would be the fashion industry, and they're just as pathetic, so who'd care.

The last few years of movies have been real duds. Even the hyped movies which I dragged myself to were bad. Depressing.

I'm sorry but if the fashion industry shuts down, then the models wouldn't have anything to eat. Oh wait, that may be good cuz then they'll start eating and not be like people held in concentration camps in WWII.
