Is her 15 minutes of fame done yet?

Miss USA, Tara Connor; will she be the next liberal role-model and heroine for America's young girls. So far she's won some beauty pageants, managed to distinguish herself as a drug/alcohol addicted party girl who has prostituted herself with multiple men and women, shirked her responsibilities to the organization that gave her the opportunity of her lifetime, and now she's at a crossroad in her life; what will happen now.

My guess: and I hope I am completely wrong. The rehab is not going to hold. She will get out and make the claim that she will devote her life to any of the following causes: AID's Awareness, protecting chickens from KFC for PETA, or helping teen girls get abortions; this will immediately put her in the role-model status for liberals. She will then continue to party and make headlines, she'll become one of the multitude of quasi liberal celebrities who live on the fringe and be a regular on any number of reality based shows, and we'll be forced to endure hearing about her pathetic life for about the next 15 years, not just the 15 minutes we'd all hope for.

This would all be fine and well, liberals can select who they want for role models; the thing that p.o.'s me the most is that while they'll laud this type of person as a role model, they'll attack a conservative woman as a failure and disgrace who has the following credentials to her credit.

Condoleeza Rice Bio

Born November 14, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama, she earned her bachelor's degree in political science, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974; her master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been awarded honorary doctorates from Morehouse College in 1991, the University of Alabama in 1994, the University of Notre Dame in 1995, the National Defense University in 2002, the Mississippi College School of Law in 2003, the University of Louisville and Michigan State University in 2004. She resides in Washington, D.C.

This is just a small part of her official bio. The listings of all the positions and seats that she has held are outlined in about 5 more paragraphs. Needless to say, they are impressive.

I've always been amazed at the yearly polls and top ten lists that ask who role models are. The lists are always topped with people like Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Ellen DeGeneris, ad nauseum.

Rather than getting her Ph.D in International Studies, Secretary of State Rice should have started snorting cocaine and gone into rehab for a few months; that would have made her more acceptable in the eyes of America's leftists.
