Reason #2 I don't really care if I ever take a cruise.

Cruise Ship Docks for Cleaning After Hundreds Sickened
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A thorough scrubbing of the Carnival Liberty began Sunday as the ship docked after a virus sickened nearly 700 passengers on a trans-Atlantic cruise.

Norovirus is a group of viruses that cause stomach flu symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps, according to the CDC. The illness usually lasts one to two days without any long-term health effects. It spreads through contaminated food or liquids, by touching contaminated surfaces or objects and then placing that hand in one's mouth, or through direct contact with someone who is infected and showing symptoms.

If I wanted to enjoy a few days of stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting, I'll just have Mocha-momma feed me a big plate of half-cooked pork. (which by the way, I've already experienced in my lifetime) I don't particularly care to spend $2,000 to either sit on or be bent over a toilet for a few days.

This seems to be an all-to-common occurrence aboard cruise ships. Every season it seems there are stories of mass sickness aboard a cruise liner. It may just be my bias against them, and I'm over-exaggerating; but tough, that's my mindset.

This leads me to reason #1 on why I don't ever care to take a cruise, and why I'd still prefer staying on land---

Resort hotels have 0% probability of ever sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

I know, when was the last time a cruise ship ever sank. Well I can tell you that once I was on board, and we were out on the high seas, my ship would sink beneath my feet; and it would occur when I was in the innermost part of the ship where I would have absolutely no chance of making it out and jumping over the side. Irrational, not at all, I guarantee it would happen.

These are just a couple of reasons---you can add to list falling overboard (which has happened recently on at least 2 cruises that I know about), fires, sea sickness, and I'm sure I could come up with others.
