Oil City, Pa. — Letter carriers occasionally have to deal with angry dogs or maybe even a spider's nest in a mailbox, but a mean squirrel?
Barb Dougherty, a 30-year Postal Service employee, said she was attacked and bitten Monday by a squirrel while delivering mail in Oil City, about 120 kilometres north of Pittsburgh.
“It was a freak thing. It was traumatic,” Dougherty told The Derrick newspaper. “I saw it there on the porch, put the mail in the box and turned to walk away and it jumped on me.”
She said the animal ran up her leg and onto her back.
You may laugh, you may be in denial, you may claim all of God's little creatures are loveable and peaceful and no threat to humans; all they want is a little respect.
HAH. I've been documenting the animal kingdom jihad for months now. Pythons, manta rays, elephants: they've been killing indiscriminately since July. Now, the squirrels are getting into the act. This one failed, no virgin squirrels for him; but you can bet they'll try again. The rodents out there, like these squirrels and the psycho raccoons that I posted on months ago, are insidious---they use the threat of rabies to terrorize their victims; unlike elephants, who can simply stomp their victims to death.
As long as I have breath, I'll continue to warn the world of this continuing jihad against us humans----PETA be damned.
