Everybody please pray for Mocha-momma---

MM just heard some horrific news, and she's almost on the edge of a breakdown. No--nobody dear to her is dying; no--she wasn't diagnosed with anything; No--she didn't lose her job.

What could be so horrible. There's a rumor being spread that our local coffee house may be shutting down soon. We know they've been hanging by the skin of their teeth for awhile; now it sounds like it may be over for good. Imagine what it's like for a crackhead when he finds out his supplier has been busted.

Uncle Ben: do anything you can; call in all your markers, use every bit of your influence---get Caribou to put a franchise out in Rockford.

The thing about this is that the place is owned by a couple from our church, the husband is our worship team leader and a professional musician. They've not only supplied all the local coffee-holics; but they've been a ministry to the area as well. Please pray for Scott and Colleen that all goes well at the end.

Closing up or selling? Do they have kitchen space?

They're in a little strip mall on the edge of town. I think they've developed a nice little clientele base of locals, but I imagine they thought they'd get the commuters who pass through Rockford on their way to work from all the little towns west of us; unfortunately, not the case. They must have kitchen space, they do serve meals. We've never talked to them about the state of the business, so not quite sure what they think went wrong. The mall has a little supermarket, a chiropractor, a liquor store and an Ace Hardware. Although not real busy, it has steady traffic throughout a day. Poor Mocha-momma and all the other teachers at the elementary school are just bumming.

Whoa, you had me worried for a second!

Has she considered Coffeeholics Anonymous? The first step is, "We admitted that we were powerless over coffee - that our lives had become unmanageable." It isn't easy, but the rewards are enormous.

NW, Note recieved. I'm glad you liked the coffee, but don't you think it's a bit disrespectful to mention it here? What if Mocha-Momma gets the shakes thinking about it? ;)
