Culture now celebrates the guy's guy
Metrosexuals may have had their 15 minutes of fame. The cultural pendulum is swinging back to manly men.

I have news for Mr. Diaz, metrosexualism may have been a cultural phenomenon in Boston, and maybe Miami, San Francisco and New York; but, in the vast majority of America it’s just another dead, liberal attempt to convert every male in their goofy village into a bunch of pansies.
Instead of mourning the loss, they should be celebrating the fact that the majority of men are still aiming to become manly---which means better husbands, fathers, friends, neighbors, employees, etc. I for one am glad that the manly men are still out there, like guys on the fire department, the police, in the military, farmers, mechanics, construction workers, yada-yada-yada. I don’t think we need to debate the issue that we’re not talking about stereotypical, over-the-top, God’s gift-to-women macho-men.
I’m also not going to debate what I think the true definition of a manly man is; you can decide that for yourself. I do have a few criteria that seem important to me: selfless vs. selfish; God-fearing vs. man-fearing; truth seeker vs. truth manipulator; just to name a few.
Liberals are going to continue in their pansification of males’ campaign; but their primary aim is at getting to our boys. Thank God for organizations like the Boy Scouts. My son went through 5 years of Cub Scouts, and is now in his first year of boy scouting. He recently went to a weeklong camp where he learned to shoot a shotgun, did archery, whittled, camped out, learned teamwork, competed, worked hard and played hard, and did it all in shorts and a t-shirt. Needless to say he came back higher than cloud nine. Just the other day he and a friend marched down to the river and went frog hunting, they each made $5 selling the frogs to his friend’s dad for bait, then he went fishing with this guy and caught 2 catfish (as well as two turtles) He’s a boy on his way to being a manly man.
You know what else he likes to do—play his flute and the piano; he bakes cookies better than my wife; and, he spends a lot of his free time doing arts & craft projects. He’s also being grounded in his faith, regularly attends church, reads his bible, and takes part in a youth group. He is everything that liberals fear in a boy, and I thank God for that.

Hello, KingDavid.
I just stumbled on your site from the MOB blogroll. Good stuff!
Welcome, and keep up the good fight!
I think that the whole macho thing is a front that some men put up when they aren't comfortable with themselves as men. A real man makes his own decisions based on his responsibilities (to God, to his family, to himself). I'm glad that your son is travelling down that path. Kudos to you.
