Imagine (there's no liberals, it's easy if you try)

Imagine the horror. You’re an ethnic group living in a nation whose ruling party is out to totally oppress and/or annihilate you, your family, your friends and your neighbors.

Thank God, there are other nations in the world who are battling, either politically or militarily, to help end your suffering and free you from the yoke of bondage and death.

Thank God, there are right-wing Christian groups with members who are working to send you aid and comfort. They go so far as to send volunteers to come live among you and help build , educate, nurse, support and encourage you in your daily struggle for survival. Many times these individuals are persecuted, tortured and killed along side those they are trying to help. At home they are being mocked and ridiculed, they are being sued and they battle for funding and support; but they won’t give up the fight to help you and bring God’s love to you.

Thank God for liberal feminist activist groups in Berkeley, who heroically go out and parade around topless, chanting anti-Bush slogans and sending out love vibes to help you overcome the daily terror that you’re feeling. They endure having to miss their daily chat groups at Starbucks or lose an appointment at the local spa.

Thank God for other liberal activist groups, who with no thought of their own safety, gather together and sing ‘We are the World’ and other popular feel good songs, maybe while holding a large circle-jerk and sending out love vibes, all in order to let you know they are behind you (and good luck surviving the executioners that the president of your country is sending out)

Thank God for all those celebrity actors, singers and other entertainers, who open their pie-holes on a daily basis about issues they can’t comprehend, but it keeps their name out in the public and helps promote their next movie or gig. Granted, they support the guy who is actually trying to kill you, and their protest is against their own government; but, at least it might take the dictators mind off trying to kill you while he is entertaining these celebrities in sham set-up photo-ops.

So hang in there brave souls, and pray to God that first two groups keep up the fight and git-er-done; because with friends like these last three groups, you certainly don’t stand a chance in hell.
