Fox News story sub-header

DHS official interviews Karr, says man who claims to have killed beauty queen is 'complex person'

Imagine a person who does not know about this particular crime and what the details were. What image would the term beauty queen evoke in their mind. I think my visualization would be of a tall, statuesque blond with a nice figure and full bust, probably with a southern accent.

I can’t imagine there is anybody in their right mind who would envision a cute little 6 year old girl. I think Fox News could choose a different modifier to describe JonBenet. I know for most of us the thought of murder is unimaginable, but we get callous to it when it comes to adults. It’s bad enough when the victim is an adult, but when I hear about children being murdered, that just always seems to raise the bar of heinousness in my mind. Whoever did this, whether it was him I don’t know, did not kill a beauty queen; they killed an innocent, talented, beautiful little girl who should be on the high school cheerleading squad or in drama class right now.
